This is the house we rented for all of the years our children were growing up. It didn't look like this. There are tree missing now and the rough wood siding has been replaced. The deck is new and the expanded cement drive gives it a whole different feel, but, this is the house. For my kids; remember the huge yet beautiful spider web outside that top window up stairs? Remember all of the family photos on the stairs? Remember the first year we had a video camera and all of the time you spent looking at yourselves on the TV screen? Remember the yummy meals your Dad fixed and the games we played and the races on the beach? Remember the year we drove through that terrible storm? Remember the walks? Weren't we lucky? Aren't we still lucky to have such amazingly magical memories?

This is the house Dad and I rented this time. It was much nicer and much bigger than the little house on Lancaster and we enjoyed it...a lot. But we still love the other one more.

Dad managed to cook up some delicious wonders in this kitchen.

The view from the balcony of 'our' park. It didn't take much imagination to see little Naomi and Rachel standing on the steps of the pool in their cute swim suits, freezing.

So fun. I cannot believe how different the old house looks! It looks fresher, but not nearly as charming. Without the trees it doesn't seem to fit the landscape as well. Too bad! Fun too see it, though! I have such wonderful memories of Cambria. Jeremy and I need to find a great vacation spot like that for our kids. :)
